Main's Market History
Carlton Main has been in the supermarket business for over 30 years. He and his family know what it takes to run a good store and they are committed to making that available to the people in the Folsom area. In fact, while Main’s Market may be the only supermarket in Folsom, the family does not rest on its laurels. When the family took on this store in 2008, they worked diligently to make it into an establishment of which the locals can be proud.
The Main family knows firsthand what a store can mean to an area, having endured life changing events themselves following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina as supermarket owners in St. Bernard Parish. Having moved at one point to Tennessee for work, the Main family wanted to return to their roots, their home, and their state. They selected the Folsom area for its distinctive family flavor and roots and have enjoyed meeting and joining in with folks in this peaceful and comfortable town known for its flourishing plant nurseries and beautiful horse farms.
